Microtunnelling is a remotely operated trenchless technique for installing pipes, ducts and culverts in a variety of ground conditions. It is steerable and accurate, therefore suitable for installation of gravity sewers. With no man entry required to the Microtunnel Boring Machine [MTBM] it is possible to work below the water table and in unstable ground.

The technique allows pipes to be installed accurately without disturbing the ground above, and is therefore ideal for crossings of railways, motorways, roads & rivers.

B&W’s fleet of Iseki Microtunnelling equipment suits pipes of 600, 1000, 1200, 1500 & 1800 diameter, with scope to accommodate intermediate sizes depending on the application.

We can also offer Pipejacking, Auger Boring and Guided Auger trenchless techniques for a similar range of diameters. Please contact us and we can discuss the options and suitability of equipment to best meet your requirements.
