Rock Boring
Our Fleet of Small Boring Units ( SBU’s ) includes cutter heads for the following pipe sizes 600mm, 900mm, 1050mm and 1200mm. These heads are non-steerable and an auger bore machine provides the torque and thrust to drive the rollers enabling the heads to cut the hardest of rock up to 250Mpa.
B&W also offer the service to carry out rock boring to line and grade by using one of our Robbins Motorised Units ( MSBU’s ). We currently run three machine two 1200mm and a 1500mm, theses machines can be operated manually or remotely from a surface mounted kiosk.
