B & W Tunnelling was founded in October 1985 and has since established itself as one of the UK's leading specialist tunnelling contractors.
The B&W Tunnelling fleet comprises Akkerman TBM's; Earth Pressure Balance (EPB), Guide Boring Machines, 48-inch Augerbore machines and Hard Rock Boring equipment.
Today, all of our contracts are undertaken by one of the above-mechanised systems.

In October 2000 using an Akkerman TBM on a South Wales UK contract we broke the world record for the number of 1500mm diameter pipes jacked in a twelve-hour shift.
Our head office is based in South Wales, UK, with contracts undertaken throughout the UK and Ireland.
